Alexander Mutafov, also known as Alexander Moutafov, was a Bulgarian artist born in Shumen, Bulgaria in 1879 and died in Sofia, Bulgaria in 1957. He studied painting at the Art Academy of Torino and the Art Academy of Munich. He later became a professor in practical and constructive perspective at the Art Academy in Sofia. Mutafov is known for his maritime paintings and is considered one of the first Bulgarian marinists. He is the author of the artwork 'Double Portrait'.
