André da Loba is a Portuguese illustrator, animator, graphic designer, sculptor, and educator. He was born in 1979 in Aveiro, Portugal. Da Loba studied at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, where he earned a degree in illustration. His work combines elements of illustration, animation, and sculpture, often incorporating themes of curiosity, experience, knowledge, and unknowing. Da Loba's art has been exhibited internationally and has received recognition from various organizations, including The Society of Illustrators NY, Communication Arts, and the Bologna Children’s Book Fair. He has worked with a wide range of clients, including The New York Times, Time Magazine, and The Washington Post. Da Loba lives in Brooklyn and continues to create art that inspires and challenges people to change the world.
