John Wesley Paradise was an American engraver and painter, born in Hunterdon County, New Jersey in 1809. He was active/lived in New Jersey and New York. John Paradise is known for Engraver, portrait painter. He is the father of the portraitist and founding member of the National Academy of Design, Samuel Seba Smith Paradise.
