Wu Shanming is a Chinese painter known for his ink-wash paintings of figures wearing traditional garments. He was born in 1941 in Pujiang County, China, and studied at the China Academy of Fine Arts in Hangzhou. The artist has since been the subject of numerous exhibitions in both China and abroad. He currently lives and works in Hangzhou, China. Wu Shanming is a professor of Chinese painting at the China Academy of Art and has exhibited his paintings worldwide.
