Lucy Jones is a British painter and printmaker, born in London in 1955. She was educated at the King Alfred School, London and studied at the Byam Shaw School of Art, Camberwell School of Art, and Royal College of Arts. In 1982, she won the Prix de Rome prize and studied at the British School in Rome for two years. Jones had her first solo exhibition in 1987 and has since exhibited extensively in the UK and abroad. Her work is in many public and private collections, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the National Portrait Gallery in London. She is known for her paintings and prints, including the artwork 'Spring Southbank' (1987, oil on canvas).
