Pieter Oyens was a Dutch painter born in Amsterdam in 1842 and died in Brussels in 1894. He specialized in genre scenes and spent most of his career in Brussels. His name was originally spelled 'Oijens'. He was the identical twin brother of David Oyens, also a painter.
