Coalport Porcelain Works was a center of porcelain and pottery production in Coalport, Shropshire, England, between about 1795 and 1926. The company was established by John Rose and produced a wide range of porcelain items, including vases, figurines, and tableware. Percy Simpson was one of the painters who worked for the company, and he is known for his landscape paintings on porcelain. He painted this dessert plate between 1901 and 1920.
