Theodora W. Thayer was an American painter born in St. Charles, Missouri in 1868. She studied art at the Art Students League of New York and at the Académie Julian in Paris. Thayer was known for her miniatures and was a founding member of the American Society of Miniature Painters. She taught at the New York School of Art and the Art Students League. Thayer died in 1905.
