George Clyde Fisher, known as Clyde Fisher, was a scientist and educator who worked for the American Museum of Natural History (AMNH) from 1913 until his retirement in 1941. He was born in Sidney, Ohio, on May 22, 1878, and received a B.A. from Miami (Ohio) and a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. Fisher was a curator at the AMNH and later the head of the Hayden Planetarium. He was also a close friend of Ernest Thompson Seton. Fisher passed away on January 7, 1949.
