Joseph O. Misshore III, also known as Joey 'Big Joe', was an American artist born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on October 28, 1957. He passed away on March 9, 2024. Misshore was a graduate of McDonogh #35 and is known for his intricate and whimsical folk art designs. He was also a member of the Zulu Social Aid & Pleasure Club and the NAACP New Orleans Branch.
