Les Raboteurs de Parquet

, also known as The Floor Scrapers, is an oil painting by French Impressionist Gustave Caillebotte. The canvas measures 102 by 146.5 centimeters (40.2 in × 57.7 in) and showcases three workers scraping a wooden floor. This captivating piece was originally given by Caillebotte's family to the Musée du Luxembourg in 1894, then transferred to the Musée du Louvre in 1929, and eventually found its permanent home at the Musée d'Orsay in Paris, where it is currently on display.

The Artist

Gustave Caillebotte (1848-1894) was a French painter known for his early interest in photography as an art form and his realistic style within the Impressionist movement. He was also a member and patron of the Impressionists, contributing significantly to their success.
