A refined hand-painted silk was crudely fashioned into this evening bag with Bakelite ring and silk tassel. It was possibly chosen in order to match an evening dress of the same fabric. The fashion illustrations of Georges Lepape and Paul Iribe often feature similar Regency-style bags dangling from the hands of fashionable women.
