Although she is the daughter-in-law of quiltmaker Patty Ann Williams (1898 - 1972), Irene Williams (1920 - 2015) has made her quilts in solitude throughout her adult life and arrived at an original, personal artistic vision almost completely uninfluenced by her peers.
