Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, also known as AOC, is an American politician and activist. She was born in 1989 in the Bronx, New York, and began representing New York’s 14th congressional district in the United States House of Representatives in 2019. Ocasio-Cortez is known for her progressive politics and her advocacy for economic, social, and racial justice. She is the youngest woman and youngest Latina to ever serve in the United States Congress.
