Filippo Indoni was an Italian painter and stepfather to Umberto Coromaldi. He was born in Rome, Italy in 1842 and died in Rome in 1908. Indoni was active in the Romanticism movement and primarily worked in the genre painting genre. He was known for his Realist style and often created lively scenes of peasants and lower class people playing, laughing and generally being carefree.
