Francisco Relogio (1926-1997) was a Portuguese painter, known for his neofigurative style and abstractizing tendencies. He was born in Vila Verde de Ficalho, Portugal in 1926 and died in Lisbon in 1997. Relogio studied at the Escola Industrial Fonseca Benevides in Lisbon and was associated with the Neo-Realist movement. He worked as a painter, set designer, draftsman, ceramic artist, and azulejo expert, creating murals and tiles for various institutions across Portugal. His work is characterized by its intricate details, imagination, and grace. Relogio participated in several exhibitions, including the Group Surrealist Exhibition in Ohio, USA, and the International Exhibition of Azulejaria at the Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian in 1971. He was represented in the Museu Nacional de Arte Contemporânea and various national and international collections.
