Giorgio Tonelli was born in Brescia, Italy in 1941. He currently lives and works in Bologna. His work has been exhibited in Italy and abroad, in institutional contexts, private galleries, and some of the most important international art fairs. Among his recent exhibitions, he participated in the Metacosa Movement, an Italian art movement founded in the late 1970s. Tonelli's artistic style is characterized by a figurative matrix with poetic intensity and accurate pictorial research.
