Henry Clay Anderson was an African-American photographer born in Greenville, Mississippi in 1911. He opened his own photography business, Anderson Photo Service, in 1948 and became the town's most prominent photographer. He captured the daily life of African-Americans in the segregated South during the 1950s and 1960s. Anderson died in 1998.
