Ireneusz Pierzgalski was born on July 1, 1929, in Łódź, Poland. He was a Polish artist, known for his paintings and photographs. He studied at the Państwowa Wyższa Szkoła Sztuk Plastycznych in Łódź and graduated in 1954. In the years 1955-1976, he worked as a lecturer at the Lodz Film School. From 1976 to 2003, he was a professor at the Państwowa Wyższa Szkoła Sztuk Plastycznych, which is now known as the Akademia Sztuk Pięknych im. Władysława Strzemińskiego in Łódź. Pierzgalski died on March 8, 2019, in Łódź.
