Kaikhushro Shivlal Joshi was born in Nashik, India in 1930. He was a master weaver and a descendant of the Joshi family. He attempted to revive tanchoi weaving in India but had to end operations due to lack of support from customers. He was also known for weaving a cloth piece for sapaat slippers. Kaikhushro Joshi died in 2016.
