Karl Gottlieb Schweikart was an Austrian portrait painter. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and later traveled to Prague and Galicia, where he settled. Schweikart's works include portraits of Polish nobles, Austrian military officers, and members of the bourgeoisie. He also created miniatures on ivory. Between 1810 and 1830, he was one of the most renowned portrait painters in Galicia. His students included Antoni Laub and Korneli Szlegel. Schweikart's portraits are held in collections at several museums, including the Polish National Museum in Krakow and Warsaw.
