M.V. Devan, also known as Madathil Vasudevan, was an Indian painter, sculptor, writer, art critic and orator. He was born in Panniyannur, India, in 1928 and died in 2014. He was known for his artistic works, architectural designs, and contributions to founding cultural institutions. He was a recipient of several honors including the Raja Ravi Varma Puraskaram of the Kerala Lalithakala Akademi, the Vayalar Award and the Mathrubhumi Literary Award.
