Manuel Aja Espil is an Argentinean painter born in Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1987. He initially aspired to be a filmmaker but later devoted himself to painting and learned through self-teaching by imitating historical styles. His work involves imaginary universes that blend European pictorial tradition with contemporary iconography, focusing on landscape, memory, and fiction. Aja Espil has participated in various exhibitions including 'Joseph Andreas' (2018) at Quadro Arte Contemporáneo and 'Anton Regularis' (2017) at Centro Cultural Recoleta. He has also been part of group shows at MALBA, Fundación Proa, and MUNTREF.
