Marco Tirelli was born in Rome, Italy in 1956. He was born into an artistic environment, with his father working as the manager of the Swiss Institute in Rome. Tirelli began to exhibit his art in the second half of the 1970s. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, graduating in scenography. Tirelli is known for his abstract paintings, often featuring forms and shapes that evoke a sense of subjectivity and perception. He currently lives and works in Rome and Spoleto, Italy.
