Tiểu sử:
Maria Lula Cardoso Ayres (1932-2018) was a Brazilian artist, born in Recife, Brazil. She was a student of Heinrich Moser, a German artist known for his stained-glass windows in northeastern Brazil. Lula Cardoso Ayres became known for her works in textile art, particularly her short dresses made of fabric. She was also a painter and sculptor. Lula Cardoso Ayres spread her knowledge and handed down her knowledge to local artists, just like her teacher Moser did. She was one of the founders of the 'Escola de Belas Artes do Recife' (School of Fine Arts of Recife), which was later merged with 'Universidade Federal de Pernambuco' (Federal University of Pernambuco). Lula Cardoso Ayres died in 2018, leaving a relevant contribution to the art and culture of the state of Pernambuco.
