Martyn Reed is a British artist, writer, independent researcher, curator, collector & exhibition organiser based in Stavanger, Norway. He is the founder of Nuproductions, Reed Projects, Numusic (est. 2000) and Nuart Festivals in Stavanger & Aberdeen (est. 2001). Reed is known for his commitment to redefining public spaces through artistic interventions, often using ordinary objects like recycling bins and street signs. He has been recognized for his work with the BBC and Google Arts & Culture. Reed's art often explores themes of crime and punishment, as seen in his solo exhibition 'Crime and Punishment' in 2020. He is also the director of operations at the British Board of Agrement.
