Robert Rumas is a Polish artist born in Kielce in 1966. He studied at the Stage College of Plastic Arts in Gdańsk. He was a curator at Galeria Wyspa and the Łaźnia in Gdańsk. Rumas's works bear a strong relation to social codes, stereotypes, and the mass cultural fetishes which control society's imagination. Public spaces have often been the subject of his works. He has exhibited his works in several countries, including Poland, France, and the United States.
