Sarah Ortmeyer is a German artist born in Frankfurt, Germany in 1980. She works across various artistic disciplines, including sculpture, painting, and publishing, often using non-traditional modes of display. Ortmeyer has exhibited internationally at venues such as the Stedelijk Museum voor Actuele Kunst, Belvedere21, Palais de Tokyo, MAK Center, KW Institute for Contemporary Art, MoMA PS1, Performance Space New York, and the Swiss Institute. She has also published several books, including a comprehensive volume on chess, politics, and aesthetics.
