Sol Wilson, also known as Solomon Wilson, was born in Vilna, Poland in 1896. He immigrated to America at around the age of 15 and settled in New York City. Wilson is known for his marine-coastal, mod genre, and animal paintings. He passed away in 1974 at the age of 81. His works are included in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Brooklyn Museum, and the Library of Congress.
