Tiểu sử:

Tito Sarrocchi (5 January 1824 – 1900) was an Italian sculptor. He had a traditional artistic training, starting out as apprentice in the workshop of a stone-cutter employed at the Duomo of Siena. In 1841 , he moved to Florence and attended courses at the Accademia di Belle Arti taught by Lorenzo Bartolini . Later on, he worked with Giovanni Duprè as his chief assistant. He created several independent works such as The Bacchante (1852) before returning to Siena. Sarrocchi collaborated with Giuseppe Partini for ten years in the restoration of Jacopo della Quercia's Fonte Gaia, which was inaugurated in 1869. He also worked on Giovanni Pisano's sculptures in Pisa and again with Partini on the restoration of Siena Cathedral. Sarrocchi completed several façades for Basilica of Santa Croce.
