Vangel Naumovski was a Macedonian painter born in Ohrid in 1924 and died in 2006. He is one of the most famous Macedonian painters and a representative of Naïve Art and Surrealism. His works are characterized by the use of vivid colors and the representation of dreamlike and fantastical scenes. He is best known for his paintings of the Macedonian landscapes and folklore. Naumovski's work has been exhibited in many countries and is part of several important art collections. He is considered one of the most important artists of the 20th century in Macedonia.
